Gubernatorial Candidate Cris Ericson Switches Party Status

According to a post recently posted to Indybay, the information provided indicates that gubernatorial candidate Cris Ericson has switched their official candidate status from that of United States Marijuana Party to Independent and includes an explanation of the switch, here (Wednesday, September 3, 2008).

In the hope of learning if the post concerning the party status switch as well as the information about it was actually posted by the candidate, an e-mail has been sent to Cris Ericson in order to attempt to confirm whether or not the post is indeed hers. If and when additional information comes in concerning the matter, this post will be updated accordingly.

*Update 1*: Have not received direct confirmation about the above linked post in question about a switch of political party status on the part of candidate Cris Ericson yet, however the post itself is now on hidden status for whatever reason.

In addition, although there is no mention, reasons or details provided on Cris Ericson's campaign Website about the party status switch that I have noticed as of the moment of this update, it does indicate she is now an Independent candidate.
